Growing Gaming Communities

Leaving the Military can be tough. Some service leavers turn to gaming networks when looking for their new tribe. We are building online and face-to-face gaming communities, so that our members have access to an always-on community.

Enabling Support Networks

At UK Veterans Gaming we are building welcoming online gaming communities built by veterans for veterans. We are supporting gaming-based fundraising for veterans’ support charities and have signposting available for anyone who thinks they need professional help.

Developing Competitive Teams

Several UVG Esports Teams are already competing in leagues and we plan to add more as our membership grows.

Facilitating Gaming Events

UVG runs online events through Twitch and participates in major LAN events such as Enclave. We are looking at expanding to include regional live meet-ups as the community grows.

However You Served

UK military veterans live in at least 7% of houses in the UK. 1 in 25 adults is a military veteran. Veterans range from those who served in World War 2 or undertook National Service immediately after, to those who have only recently completed their time serving.

A veteran can have served as little as one day in training to over 40 years’ service. However you served, you will be welcomed by UK Veterans Gaming.

Wherever You Are

UK Veterans Gaming is largely run online through Discord. We also have a Facebook Group, LinkedIn page and growing numbers in Playstation and Xbox teams.

Wherever you are now, if you want to game with like-minded veterans then we can connect you. Our wider support network already includes veterans and supporters as far away as Australia and the US.

As we grow, so will the number of games we support - check out the Games and Communities pages to see all the genres we are aiming to support. Within these, some games are just starting out, and others already have an active and growing community.

If your game isn’t yet listed, then you are more than welcome to start a new community. Whether you want to be a casual or hard-core player we will support you joining or building a community.
